At what point does innovation and technology become invasive? And who can present a valid point of reason? The person involved or the person who created the technology? The lines are getting more blurred and everything is colliding as technology progresses to a point that we cannot even imagine.
In the 60s and 70s there were so many movies about the future, that depicted the future as becoming bleak, cold and with little personal contact. Well, the way humans rely more on gadgets and gizmos, we have already become colder towards each other, although nothing near as shown in the movies. I guess, there is still time to go for that….
I specifically remember a movie about a fully computerized house, a ’smart house’ that would become knowledgeble about its client and take over all daily functions and chores. The end result was not a happy one in the movie, and are we heading in the same direction too?
It’s an interesting way to view the past, to get an insight into the future. If only one can see the right things.

Ok, so its been a really long time since I posted here….don’t ask me why, what, where…..cos I don’t have the answers myself. I guess I’ve been focusing too much on my retail blog, forgetting to have some fun and let off steam on this blog. While I will try to keep this blog away from retail, there’s just so much I want to write about it, that I will probably end up writing about it here too. Other than that, I will write about Bombay, where I live, what is happening in the city, events, movies, book readings, travel to local areas etc. I will also write about what it takes to adjust living in India after spending ones formative years overseas. How does one fit in, especially mentally with the mind always going back saying, hmm this was so much easier to do there etc…Well, so far all good intentions, do hope I can maintain them…
